How To: Brows
Over the years I have become pretty darn good at doing my eyebrows, well in my opinion anyways. It's a pretty good skill to have;). Looking back at photos in high school I regret not doing them! I never thought I needed to. Why!? I have no idea. Filling in my eyebrows has been a life changer! I seriously can't go out of the house without taming my wild eyebrows! Even if it's just setting them in place.
With that being said I thought I'd share my brow routine and my fav brow products!
I like to start out by brushing my eyebrows out with a spooley. Seriously guys! If you think you don't need a spooley in your life you're wrong!! It is crucial! You need one.
To fill in my brows I love using my elf eyebrow kit. I like to apply just the waxy side with a small angled brush. I used to use eyebrow pencils but after using this elf one I find myself leaning towards waxy eyebrow gels way more often. Plus this elf eyebrow kit is all that it's hyped up to be! I don't have the need to get any expensive eyebrow gels or pencils when this one does everything I need it to. If you haven't tried it then you really should!
To start out, I brush my eyebrow hairs up with the spooley and apply the gel starting at the bottom of my eyebrow and lightly lining the entire bottom line, stopping where my arch begins. You can always go all the way down your arch too, but this is just my preference to make sure I'm not making my brows to thick.
Then lining the top of my brow and down the arch of my eyebrow. A good tip is to line a little bit below your top line so that you can make sure you are not making your eyebrows too thick and so there's not a harsh line. Then blend the line up to your brow line.
Then I like to make a line going vertical at the beginning of my brow and then blend the line out. This is the hardest part for me. I can never make them even. You need to make sure the line isn't too harsh. It needs to be blended the right amount. If it's blended too much then your eyebrows will look smudgy. I hate when it does that! This part takes the most time for me, but it's totally worth it!
If your filling in your brows or not, this next step
is vital!! You should always set your eyebrows. Setting your eyebrows makes a huge difference. Trust me. You don't want crazy brow hairs going every which way. I like using my elf brow gel. It gets the job done. You can't go wrong with any brow gel honestly. You can even use clear mascara. (Quick tip: If you don't have brow gel then you can use hair spray or hair gel! I used to use hair gel and I even preferred it over my eyebrow gel for a while.)
And that's it! That is how I do my eyebrows. It's a pretty inexpensive way to get amazing eyebrows.
With love, Chelsey
